Alicia works with adults to develop effective ways of coping with life’s various stressors and strengthen their relationships. Her immigrant family background shapes her clinical lens and allows her to understand the complex cultural and family dynamics that affect her clients’ health and ability to feel comfortable asking for help. She views humor as an important tool to connect and believes, as humans, we are inherently imperfect and it is okay to acknowledge that.
Alicia’s approach is an integration of psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral modalities. She works collaboratively with her clients and acknowledges the significant role that social, cultural, and environmental factors play in their overall health and ability to cope with stress.
